$40.00
Product Description
Produced by Belgian Art Nouveau master Henri Privat-Livemont in 1896 during the height of the popularity of Absinthe, this is one of the most recognizable Art Nouveau posters of the era. Thought to be dangerous and hallucinogenic brought on by the inclusion of wormwood, it was banned in the United States in 1915 after being banned in most of Europe in 1905 and 1906. Modern safe absinthe is produced today, produced minus the wormwood. People will see your Absinthe Robette poster hanging on the wall and theyll think its a thing of beauty and elegance. Wait until you tell them the real story! Measures 16 tall and printed with archival inks on 60 pound acid-free matte paper for a vintage look. Available framed in a Dard Hunter Studios quarter-sawn oak frame.
